VWR 14217-604 (model 575) magnetic hot plate stirrer for laboratory use. Sold as a faulty unit for parts or repair.

The internal plate temperature sensor reads far higher than the actual plate temperature, so the heating element shuts off shortly after a setpoint is entered; with an external temperature probe in control, the plate heats as intended. The stirring function operates. Cosmetically fair, with corrosion and rust around the sides.

An AC power cord is included.
